Park City Ski Trip: Spring Break

Long plane rides make for a silly photo selfie shoot.

This our first visit to the Rocky Mountains.  We were amazed at the beauty all around us.  It is such a different landscape than we are are accustomed to seeing.  We flew into Salt Lake City and had about a thirty minute drive to Park City.

These two aren't dressed properly for the weather here.

For our first day, we scheduled a sleigh ride. This has been on my bucket list!  I thought it was magical.

Masks look so stupid.

Day 2:  We are ready to go get our ski equipment and go to ski school.

This was our photo with our ski instructor.  She was great and so patient with us all. This the first time for all but two of us and we needed lots of help....me especially.

Day 3:  We went dog sledding through North Forty Escapes and snow tubing at Woodward Park.  It was an epic day!

Our last day we spent skiing all day.  The boys all decided they wanted to come back and ski more than just two days.

Our itinerary:

Day 1:  Travel and sleigh ride
Day 2:  Rent gear, ski school, ski the rest of the day
Day 3:  Dog sledding with North Forty Escapes and snow tubing at Woodward Park City
Day 4:  Ski all day
Day 5:  We did a photo shoot with a local photographer and then flew home that evening

This trip was my boys favorite vacation ever, and now they want to go every year.  We haven't decided if we want to keep coming back to Park City or try other places.  This was a neat experience for everyone and so different of a trip than we normally take.  I wish I would have come when I was younger because it's difficult to try to ski for the first time at 41!
