Summer Activity Group #6: It's Electric

For our sixth week of our summer group, Lori Riley was in charge.  Jason, Lori's husband, works at Caney Fork Electric Company.  He and a co-worker, Kyle Frasier, did a demonstration about electricity.



He showed them different ways that someone could get electrocuted. 



They let them try on their protective gloves and hats.





They were allowed  to take turns making their hair stand up with a Van de Graaff generator.

The boys didn't have quite the reaction that the girls did.

They demonstrated how electricity could be transferred.  This was hilarious.  Colin and Harper were the guinea pigs for this demonstration.

 Harper got zapped!

 

They turned on a light bulb with it too.
