4th of July

Every year we go to Landon's hometown of Linton, Indiana for the Fourth of July.  The town goes all out and is very festive to celebrate our nation's independence.  Here is our week in pictures...
The start of the parade.
We were glad to have Alyx's family to join us this year.  Look...baby Davis is growing!
I know that I take for granted the freedoms that we have because it is what I have always known.  I am thankful for those who have fought and died so that we can live in a free land.

We went to visit with Landon's aunt and uncle, Max and Bonnie Dickerson in Brazil, Indiana.
I love these outfits from Mamaw.
This '69 Cub Cadet mower belonged to Mike's dad.  His uncle Max ended up with it, and he gave it to Mike this week.

Family Pool Party
Lucas attempting the high dive.
It's scary!
Um, maybe not.  He ended up doing a belly buster later, but I missed it.

The next day we went to the Louisville and Zoo.  It wasn't crowed at all and it felt like we had the zoo to ourselves.  Most people don't go when it's 102 degrees, I suppose.  We still had a great day even though it was extremely hot.  Lucas was traumatized by the vampire bats.

They had a dinosaur exhibit through the end of the month.  They growled, moved, and spouted water.
They scared Lucas.

We liked the gorillas.
