Pate's Ford Remodel

I love going in homes.  I guess I am just nosy, but every chance I can get, I will go look at homes that Landon is showing and imagine how I would fix them up if the house were mine.  Several months ago, we went together with another investor to purchase a house to fix up and sell.  It has been quite a process, but I love the end result.  I love being able to take a home and update it and make it look new.  It's finally finished and now on the market.  I thought I would share the transformation.

Here are more before photos of the outside:

Here is the outside after:
We had the house painted, rebuilt the steps, painted the door and shutters, porch and trim.  We had a new metal roof and gutters put on, and my favorite...stacked stone foundation.

We also had the foundation painted and had a new, larger deck built.

Tour Inside

Living Room Before:
We had already started some work before we took photos.  We removed all flooring and started demo on the kitchen before we took before pics.

Living Room After:
New wood floors, fresh paint, and new light fixtures do wonders.  I also have a thing for the electrical outlets.  I like them to all be white.  We had all those replaced.  We also had new baseboards added.

Dining Room Before:

Kitchen After:
We put in new cabinets, countertops, sink, fixtures, and lighting.

Three Bedrooms Before:

Bedrooms After:
New paint, ceiling fan, and carpet.

Hall Bathroom Before:

After:
New floor tile, new toilet, fresh paint, new faucet fixtures.  I'm obsessed with this shade of blue.  It's in my dining room and my bathroom.  I would paint the whole house this color.  The color is Blue Arrow by American Standard.

Master Bathroom:

After:
Do you see Landon in the mirror? haha. This bathroom got new paint, new toilet, new vanity, new tile floor, and new fixtures.

The house sits on 6.15 acres that joins the corp line on Center Hill Lake, with a put-in at the end of the road, just a few hundred yards from the house.

 On to finish another house.

  1. Teri: Gosh, we need to hire you to come out to our house and help us!! I have no sense of color. What color is the blue? We are getting ready to add-on and I want to paint the addition a blue or blue-gray color. I love the color you chose.

  2. Haha! I would love to! The shade of blue is called Blue Arrow by American Standard. I painted my bathroom in my other house this color then my bathroom and dining room in my new house because I love it so much. It's a calming color.

  3. Super job done on this home. Metal roofs are an excellent addition to homes as they have so much more to offer than traditional shingles. Oh and inside the home, those gorgeous floors just pop with the white cabinets and the wall colors you chose. I particularly loved the update to the smaller bathroom, it was a huge transition from the original.
